The Senior Success Program (SSP) is designed to enhance the well-being and quality of life for Ocean County residents aged 60 and older. SSP provides one-on-one, non-clinical peer case management, helping seniors identify and overcome personal challenges while fostering independence, social connection, and overall wellness.
Aging can bring unique challenges, from loneliness and financial concerns to navigating healthcare and maintaining independence. The Senior Success Program (SSP) ensures that seniors are heard, supported, and connected to the help they need—whether it’s finding community resources, addressing barriers to wellness, or simply having someone to talk to.
Through a personalized, strength-based approach, SSP empowers older adults to set and achieve goals, access essential resources, and build a supportive network that promotes aging with dignity and purpose.
Participants in the Senior Success Program receive individualized peer support, including:
✔ One-on-One, Non-Clinical Peer Case Management – Personalized guidance to navigate life’s challenges and work toward personal goals.
✔ Goal Setting & Barrier Reduction – Assistance in identifying and overcoming obstacles related to health, finances, transportation, housing, or personal well-being.
✔ Referrals & Linkages to Services – Connections to local programs, healthcare providers, legal aid, financial assistance, and other essential resources.
✔ Wellness & Self-Sufficiency Support – Encouragement to maintain independence while addressing physical, emotional, and social needs.
✔ Advocacy & Navigation Assistance – Help in accessing benefits, applying for assistance programs, and understanding available services.
SSP is available to Ocean County residents, ages 60 and older, who would benefit from peer support, resource navigation, and community connection. There is no cost to participate.
SSP is offered in both of MHAOC’s Office Locations:

- Manahawkin Office: 691 Mill Creek Rd (Unit 13) Manahawkin, NJ 08050
Another component of SSP is offering training to Ocean County Residents, 60yrs old & older:
- Wellness Initiative for Senior Education (WISE): this is an evidence-based practice & is facilitated by certified WISE facilitators. This training can be held at an MHAOC location, in the community, or at another agency who is willing to host.

- Discuss Risk Factors & Behaviors to Avoid
- Learn Simple Tools to Help You Feel More Empowered
