The Mental Health Association in New Jersey in Ocean County’s Recovery Hotspot is a vehicle equipped with all recovery supports in Ocean County. It is staffed by Certified Peer Recovery Specialists, trained individuals who are in recovery, with lived experience with substance use disorder and/or co-occurring disorder (mental health and substance use disorder). The Recovery Hotspot visits impacted/well trafficked areas throughout Ocean County providing free information, referrals, linkages and on-going case management and follow up to those in need. Recovery Hotspot operates Sunday through Saturday with designated times during the day (including nights and weekends) offering curbside resources for recovery supports.
