We are excited to announce that the Mental Health Association in New Jersey (MHANJ) will host our 18th Annual Walk for Wellness and Recovery on Saturday, May 31st, 2025, at Nomahegan Park in Cranford, New Jersey – a fabulous way to highlight and culminate Mental Health Awareness Month. We are proud to partner with the Rotary Club of Mental Health Advocates and the National Center for Advocacy and Recovery.
In today’s fast-paced and ever-changing world, the need for mental health awareness, support, and advocacy is more critical than ever. Our Walk is a powerful opportunity to encourage individuals to prioritize their mental wellness, every day of the year. This year, we are embracing the theme, Strength Through Healing: One Step at a Time.
There’s something for everyone — adults, children, and dogs of all ages! Event highlights include: (I would bold this phrase but don’t need to capitalize this phrase) Interactive Wellness Activities, Education and Information, Pre-Walk Yoga and Stretching, Information Alley (Sponsorship and Community Resource Tables), and Recovery Scholarships (inviting individuals in recovery and their family members to enjoy the day).
Proceeds from the Walk will support MHANJ’s advocacy efforts, including our work to increase access to mental health treatment, especially for individuals with serious mental illness. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (Tax ID # 22-1549749), we are committed to improving mental health across New Jersey through advocacy, education, training, and services.
