The Mental Health Association in New Jersey (MHANJ) was honored and grateful to receive a generous donation of $11,028 from the Purple Swans Corporation to promote mental health awareness in the Asian community. This contribution was made possible through the Purple Swans’ November 2025 “Let the Heart Dance” performance and fundraiser held at the Union County Performing Arts Center in Rahway. Kudos to the organization for delivering a spectacular performance that thoughtfully wove mental health messaging into the program and for their extensive work behind the scenes to bring the event to life. Their partnership with MHANJ—including ongoing collaboration with Ruth Kaluski, MHANJ’s Statewide Director of Strategic Programs and Mental Health First Aid—continues to expand meaningful outreach. The Purple Swans have engaged MHANJ numerous times to provide Mental Health First Aid training within the Asian community, recently adding QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) suicide prevention gatekeeper training to the offerings. MHANJ is proud to work them in this important effort.
