
Ocean Allies Resource Center (OARC) is dedicated to empowering individuals by identifying their unique needs, providing system navigation support, and fostering self-sufficiency through advocacy, information, and resource linkages. OARC’s mission is to ensure that every participant has access to the tools and support needed to navigate life’s challenges, achieve stability, and thrive within their community. OARC provides personalized, peer-driven assistance to help individuals identify needs, access essential services, and develop a plan of care that promotes independence.
OARC is designed to be flexible and participant-specific, meeting each individual where they are in their journey and providing targeted support that fosters empowerment, resilience, and long-term success.
✔ Information & Referral Services – Connecting participants with resources that address essential needs.
✔ One-on-One Peer Case Management – Personalized guidance and long-term service coordination to support self-sufficiency.
✔ Development of a Plan of Care – Collaborative planning between the participant and staff to establish goals and steps for success.
✔ System Navigation Assistance – Helping participants access healthcare, housing, employment, financial aid, and social services.
✔ Flexible, Participant-Specific Assistance – Tailored support that adapts to the evolving needs of each participant.
✔ Advocacy & Promotion of Self-Advocacy – Empowering participants to advocate for themselves while providing direct support when needed.
✔ Group Support & Community Engagement – Peer-led group sessions to foster connection, encouragement, and shared experiences.
✔ Community Outreach & Education – Expanding awareness of available services and ensuring individuals know how to access support.
OARC is a FREE program, available to seniors (60yrs+), OR individuals living with a disabling condition, residing in Ocean County, who have been impacted/experienced hardship due to the COVID19 pandemic.
OARC Services are available in English &Spanish, & can be offered in both of MHAOC’s Office Locations:
