Mental Health Association in New Jersey’s Evening of Excellence to
Feature Nationally Recognized Keynote and Statewide Honorees
(Springfield, New Jersey – October 3, 2022) – The Mental Health Association in New Jersey (MHANJ) will be hosting its 22nd Evening of Excellence on November 9, 2022, at The Park Savoy Estate in Florham Park, New Jersey. The Evening of Excellence will feature nationally recognized speaker, Mayim Bialik, Ph.D., through pre-recorded video interview with Steve Adubato. Organizations and individuals will be recognized for their benchmark work and contributions to improving behavioral healthcare.
The Evening of Excellence is an important fundraiser for the MHANJ; proceeds will support the organization’s advocacy and programs which make a difference in the lives of individuals living with mental illness and/or substance use disorder and their family members.
“The Mental Health Association in New Jersey is kicking off our first in-person Evening of Excellence since the pandemic began,” said Carolyn Beauchamp, President and CEO of the MHANJ. “We are excited about honoring organizations and individuals for their innovative contributions to behavioral healthcare in our state. We look forward to featuring Dr. Bialik’s captivating interview with Steve Adubato, with intriguing conversation about mental health, family and stigma.”
Distinguished Honorees
The roster of honorees includes organizations and people that have made a significant difference in the mental health of New Jerseyans:
James McCreath, Ph.D., LCSW, Vice President for Psychiatry, Behavioral Health and Long Term Care, retired, for Behavioral Health and Psychiatry at Trinitas Regional Medical Center, an RWJBarnabas Health facility, is being honored for innovative leadership in behavioral healthcare.
Behavioral Health and Psychiatry at Trinitas Regional Medical Center, an RWJBarnabas Health facility, is being honored for excellence in behavioral healthcare and responsiveness to community needs.
Jacob C. Farbman, Ed.D., APR, Executive Director of New Jersey Center for Student Success, New Jersey Council of County Colleges, is being honored for spearheading new initiatives to nurture the mental wellness of college students.
New Jersey Council of County Colleges is being honored for developing new initiatives to support community colleges in meeting the mental health needs of students.
MinuteClinic, located in select CVS Pharmacy stores, is being honored for increasing access to mental healthcare.
About the Guest Speaker
Dr. Bialik is an award-winning actor, television host, neuroscientist, mental health podcaster and film director. She will inspire the audience with her personal mental health journey, advocacy insights and vision on breaking the stigma of mental illness. Showing her presentation through a pre-recorded video affords Ms. Bialik the opportunity to share a sincere, targeted message and interesting conversation with host, Steve Adubato, author, motivational speaker, and anchor.
Many may recognize Dr. Bialik through her podcast, Mayim Bialik’s Breakdown, or her roles on television, including the host of Jeopardy, Amy Farrah Fowler on CBS’s The Big Bang Theory, the lead on NBC’s Blossom in the 1990s, and most recently, Kat on Fox’s Call Me Kat.
