Workshops for Aspiring Peer Professionals

Consumer Connections is excited to announce a package of training opportunities for individuals who are just starting to consider a career as a peer professional or who may not currently be working as a peer. The first series of workshops will be offered in the southern part of NJ and are geared toward individuals not already employed in the peer workforce. Please check back for additional locations.


WRAP (Wellness Recovery Action Planning): Offered in an 8-week group format. Beginning in April in Atlantic County.  Click here for registration and more details.


So You Want to be a Peer? An Overview for Aspiring Peer Providers: A workshop exploring the principles of wellness & recovery, what a peer is, and how to successfully pursue a job as a peer. This workshop will help future applicants prepare to enter the peer workforce. April 28, 2017 in Camden County.  Click here for registration and more details.


Health Literacy (CR509): An individual CORE training course offered as a stand-alone workshop. Participants will be able to count this toward future 2017 or 2018 CORE attendance. June 15, 2017 in Atlantic County.  Click here for registration or more details.


Mental Health First Aid: An 8-hour training that results in a certification from the National Council for Behavioral Health. Offered Summer 2017, details to be announced.
