Enhancing Your Career as a Peer Professional

There is no question that Peer Providers enhance the lives of the individuals that they serve and others. However, challenges do exist for many as they undertake this important role. The challenges vary but often include that of transitioning in existing teams career development and balancing work/life responsibilities.  This workshop is intended for individuals currently working as peer providers in mental health or co-occurring settings.

  • transition from a service recipient (client) role to a Peer Provider role
  • integrate into an existing team by understanding its work culture
  • utilize supervision to assist with one’s career development
  • Manage stress by balance work and other responsibilities
