The 12 session psycho-educational support group model outlined in this manual was created to help families who have experienced traumatic losses.  With a firm theoretical grounding in disaster mental health, grief theory, family systems theory and resiliency work, groups address the needs of family  members of all ages as they deal with changes and challenges presented to them by the death of a loved one.  A structured curriculum is detailed for groups from pre-K through high school as well as for adults, with clear specific instructions for group execution. This video, approximately 30 minutes long, explores issues surrounding spirituality and mental illness in the Black community.
